Twenty-three opposition parties sent a letter on Tuesday to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant requesting judicial intervention regarding the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls nationwide. The letter highlights alleged biased actions by the Election Commission of India favoring the ruling party and possible manipulation of election outcomes. Signatories include parties outside the INDIA bloc such as the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Aam Aadmi Party, along with Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and others. Sources indicated the four-page letter focuses on claims that the revision process has been misused by the commission.
