Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 75 redeveloped railway stations across 20 states on Friday. The upgrades were carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at a total cost of about Rs 1,570 crore.

The scheme, launched in 2022, seeks to develop and modernize stations throughout the Indian Railways network. It includes long-term master plans, improved multimodal links, and better access for travelers.

The national transporter stated that the upgraded stations will enhance passenger convenience while also strengthening regional ties, supporting tourism and trade, and aiding economic growth in nearby areas.
