A screenshot of an alleged Snapchat exchange between Siya Goyal, accused in the death of her fiancé businessman Ketan Agarwal, and a friend has appeared online, introducing new elements to the investigation. The messages reportedly date to May 25, roughly three weeks before the 26-year-old was said to have been pushed from a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune by Goyal, aged 20, and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, aged 22.

In the exchange, Goyal requests her friend’s Aadhaar card details to reserve flight tickets for a wedding. She then states that the wedding will not occur but the booking is still needed. The friend later confirmed sending the document via another messaging app.

Authorities are verifying the chat’s legitimacy and checking if the ticket request formed part of an effort to mislead investigators or establish an alibi following the incident. It remains unclear whether the friend knew of any plan. Police have also identified another person, described as Chaudhary’s classmate, who was reportedly aware of the scheme.

Goyal and Chaudhary were engaged earlier this year, with a November wedding planned in Udaipur, Rajasthan, including chartered flights for guests. Ketan Agarwal died on June 18 after falling from the fort cliff.

The pair were transferred to 14-day judicial custody on Friday after their police remand ended. Officers cited recent recovery of phone data and the use of coded language in messages, requesting further questioning, but the court declined to extend police custody. A second phone linked to Goyal was also seized.
