With only two days left before the Monsoon session of Parliament concludes after largely stalling, the government aims to break the impasse with opposition parties over talks on student demonstrations, the Ram Temple donation issue and the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. Officials have set conditions for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s response on the student protests, requiring it to also address unrest in opposition-led Punjab and Jharkhand, sources indicated. The government has further stressed that a full discussion must occur before Shah replies, noting a statement alone would be inadequate.
