Hyderabad’s Food Safety Task Force, joined by a food safety officer, inspected multiple plants making sweets, cakes, cookies and Osmania biscuits. The checks revealed unsanitary conditions, pest presence and other hygiene shortfalls.
The operation formed part of a wider departmental effort to verify that food items are produced under clean conditions and meet safety rules. Officials have begun proceedings against the non-compliant sites and warned that further violations will draw strict measures.
The drive seeks to protect public health by ensuring products are made and kept according to required standards.
