The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has deactivated the digital IDs of former general secretary Champat Rai, trustee Anil Mishra and special invitee Gopal Rao. These IDs were previously used to issue VIP darshan passes. Sources linked to temple administration said the new leadership under acting general secretary Krishna Mohan made the decision to address alleged irregularities in preferential entry passes. With the IDs deactivated, no Sugam or Vishisht Darshan passes can be issued through their credentials. The action follows an ongoing probe by the Special Investigation Team into alleged financial irregularities at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The SIT reportedly found that digital IDs meant for VIP darshan recommendations were misused to generate passes indiscriminately. One arrested individual, Tinnu Yadav, allegedly exploited this to create hundreds of unauthorised passes. Some associates of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra are also reportedly under scrutiny for allegedly operating an illegal VIP pass racket.
