FIFA World Cup 2026: Around 60 supporters obtained tickets at no cost after a checkout malfunction on the official ticketing site. A Sky News report indicated the error allowed several users to complete purchases listed as zero dollars. FIFA confirmed that roughly 60 fans received messages on June 3 about tickets allocated without charge because of an earlier payment problem. The organization stated that these supporters have been asked to pay the proper amount to secure their seats. The tickets remain on hold, and recipients were given seven days to complete the transaction. If payment is not made, the reservations will be canceled. Officials in New York and New Jersey are examining whether the ticketing process breached consumer protection rules. The 2026 tournament opens on June 11 with Mexico facing South Africa at Mexico City Stadium.
