Apple is introducing major improvements to its Mail application as part of iOS 27, incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities and enhancing routine tasks such as searching messages, assisting with composition and handling details.
A key update involves a revised search function. Rather than relying mainly on keywords and date order, the app now orders results by relevance and user goals. For instance, a query about a store to locate a purchase will surface confirmation messages ahead of marketing content from that retailer.
The release also adds an integrated Siri option inside the Mail app. Pressing and holding an email allows users to request summaries, find specific details, monitor shipments, access travel information or store images. Additional questions can continue via Siri, with the exchange saved in the Siri application.
