A new application named HyperTexting seeks to replicate the experience of scrolling through social media feeds while browsing the open web. Available on iOS, it converts content from websites, blogs, newsletters, and podcasts into a feed format without using recommendation algorithms common on major platforms.

Developed by experienced technologist Caleb Hailey, the app emphasizes greater user control over content consumption and publishing. Hailey drew inspiration from the early internet era, when individuals hosted their own sites and shared material independently.

As social networks simplified publishing, they became central hubs for information exchange. HyperTexting aims to combine that ease with the openness of the web. Users can subscribe to various sources with one tap and view updates in an endless scroll similar to popular social platforms.
