India has strongly condemned the demolition of a 125-year-old Sikh shrine in Farooqabad, Pakistan, calling it a targeted act of vandalism. The Ministry of External Affairs expressed concern over the destruction of Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sahib and the lack of action by local authorities. Officials described the incident as part of a pattern of attacks on minority religious sites and urged Pakistan to investigate, prosecute those responsible, and restore the damaged structure. A delegation from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee met with ministry officials to request diplomatic intervention. In response, a Punjab provincial minister visited the site and announced that restoration work would begin immediately after protests by the local Sikh community.
