BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday intensified criticism of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He claimed the Congress administration had lost public trust and challenged the chief minister to seek a new mandate.

Rama Rao said an internal survey by the chief minister’s camp showed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi winning 78 assembly seats. He urged Reddy to deny the results publicly. If the government believed in its record, he said, it should dissolve the assembly, hold bypolls for seats left vacant by defectors, or conduct overdue local body elections.

The BRS leader added that public discontent with the Congress was evident in the survey and that voters were ready to restore the BRS to power.

On irrigation, Rama Rao accused the government of failing to use Godavari waters through the Kaleshwaram project. He said reservoirs could be filled by lifting water from Kannepalli without the Medigadda barrage and claimed large volumes were being allowed to flow downstream despite drought risks.

He demanded immediate operation of pump houses to supply farmers and warned of statewide protests if no action was taken.

Rama Rao also defended senior BRS leader T Harish Rao against recent remarks by the chief minister, calling him a loyal party member since its founding. He accused Reddy of personal attacks instead of addressing governance concerns.
