The producers of Seyon have added acclaimed Kannada actor, writer and filmmaker Raj B Shetty to Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming Tamil movie, releasing a striking character poster on the actor’s birthday.
Posted on the film’s official social media accounts, the first-look image shows Shetty in a powerful silhouette. Although details about his role remain undisclosed, the announcement has increased excitement around the project.
Seyon is Sivakarthikeyan’s first film with director Sivakumar Murugesan and is backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead. The project has generated interest through earlier releases such as the title poster and character introductions over recent months.
Raj B Shetty’s involvement strengthens the cast. Known as one of Kannada cinema’s notable contemporary filmmakers, he earned praise with Ondu Motteya Kathe and later directed and starred in Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye.
The film features music by Santhosh Narayanan. The story has not been detailed, but the makers have called Seyon a grounded entertainer with a strong emotional focus.
Production began earlier this year after a traditional launch event and continues at present.
