In Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, a 23-year-old Dalit man was pulled from his horse and assaulted during a traditional pre-wedding ritual on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred when a group of men reportedly blocked the procession’s path with a vehicle in a confined street. Family members stated that the men opposed the groom riding through the area and initiated the attack. The victim, who has a physical disability, was beaten with sticks despite pleas. Footage captured the disorder as assailants targeted the groom and his companions.
