Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh told police about an argument over a planned trip to Ajmer hours before her death on May 12. He stated during questioning that her conduct shifted after her pregnancy was confirmed on April 17. Sharma, a former model and actor, was discovered deceased at the couple’s residence in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She had wed Samarth Singh, son of former district judge Giribala Singh, in December. Reports indicate the pair clashed over the Rajasthan journey shortly before she was found hanging. Singh informed investigators that after the hospital visit confirming the pregnancy, Sharma expressed a desire to return to her parents and avoid domestic life. He said she traveled to Delhi that evening and stayed at her Noida home. Singh added that she came back to Bhopal on April 23 with her mother and brother following persuasion, though tensions persisted. He noted he had booked tickets to Bengaluru for April 24, with Sharma initially agreeing to join before refusing and insisting on visiting her brother in Ajmer, leading to further conflict. Police filed an FIR against Singh, a lawyer, and his mother on dowry harassment charges. Singh was detained in Jabalpur after ten days at large, and a Bhopal court granted seven days of police custody. His legal representative confirmed submission of his passport during proceedings. A team from AIIMS Delhi performed a second autopsy on Sharma in Bhopal on Sunday following a Madhya Pradesh High Court order. Her funeral is scheduled for the evening in Bhopal, twelve days after her death. The family requested a detailed forensic review addressing issues from the initial examination.
