The Ministry of Railways is fast-tracking three key rail initiatives totaling 827 kilometers to strengthen connections along Rajasthan’s borders. Upon completion, these developments will enhance local access, support communities, and stimulate economic progress. The projects are managed by the North Western Railway zone.

The national rail operator aims to link remote areas across India, ensuring widespread access to transportation services.

According to Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer for North Western Railway, initiatives are in progress to bolster the rail infrastructure in Rajasthan’s border areas. Additionally, Jaisalmer and Barmer stations in western Rajasthan have undergone upgrades as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to improve traveler facilities.
