Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday publicly backed BJP leader Nitin Nabin after former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned his background. Modi shared social media posts describing Nabin’s student days in Delhi, when he shared housing with others and relied on public buses. The prime minister highlighted Nabin’s simplicity as a source of pride for party workers. Kejriwal responded by asking why individuals linked to alleged theft and scams at the Shri Ram Mandir site continue to receive protection and when they would face punishment.
