Following two days of demonstrations in Imphal concerning medical care for three injured Kuki-Zo men at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, the patients were transferred after midnight to the district hospital in Churachandpur. Security officials and staff at Churachandpur Medical College confirmed the late-night move on Tuesday into Wednesday. The men had sustained gunshot wounds in suspected clashes between Kuki-Zo and Naga groups in Kangpokpi district on Monday morning before being taken to the Imphal institute by security forces.
