Football fans in Kerala will soon be able to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on the big screen at selected state-run theatres. Tourism, Culture and Cinema Minister P C Vishnunath announced the final will be shown live at Kairali-Sree Theatre Complexes in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, run by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation. The move follows requests from fans wanting to experience the match together in a theatre setting. The screening will use regular ticket prices, giving supporters the chance to enjoy the event on large screens alongside other viewers. The initiative aims to recreate the excitement of the World Cup final in a vibrant cinema environment at Kerala’s state-run venues. Further details on the event are still awaited.
