India has denounced the assault on the merchant ship GFS Galaxy, which carried 11 Indian crew members, in the Strait of Hormuz close to Oman’s shore. Officials in New Delhi reported that ten Indian citizens were saved, but one is still unaccounted for.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the attack on the commercial vessel is condemned. Ten of the eleven Indian nationals aboard have been rescued, with one reported missing. The Indian Embassy in Oman is monitoring developments and working with local authorities on search and rescue efforts. Appreciation was expressed for Omani support.
