The first images of the rooftop at the marital home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills, where actor-model Twisha Sharma was reportedly found dead, have emerged. India Today and Aaj Tak obtained access to the location.
The 33-year-old was allegedly discovered hanging there on May 12, prompting a prominent inquiry that has developed into a suspected dowry death matter.
Twisha, originally from Noida, died at her in-laws’ residence amid ongoing examination. Her husband’s relatives stated she struggled with drug addiction, but her parents have denied this and accused the in-laws of dowry-related harassment.
Her body remains at the AIIMS Bhopal mortuary while legal and forensic processes continue.
On Friday, the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed a second autopsy by a specialized team from AIIMS Delhi, following concerns from Twisha’s family about the initial examination.
Police also detained her husband, Samarth Singh, who had reportedly been missing for over a week. He was brought to Bhopal early Saturday, and authorities plan to request custodial remand for further questioning.
The head of forensic medicine at AIIMS Delhi confirmed readiness to perform the second autopsy as ordered.
