A witness in the investigation into the death of former model Twisha Sharma has reported being attacked and intimidated by individuals linked to her spouse Samarth Singh due to his cooperation with authorities.
Neeraj Dubey who operates a beauty salon near the home of Singh’s mother in Bhopal stated that several men assaulted him on May 30 and questioned his testimony in the prominent case. He asserted that the incident was filmed by security cameras and has filed a report with law enforcement.
Dubey was listed as a witness during the preparation of documents in the inquiry. He described how a group of four or five individuals approached him on that date demanding to know why he was providing evidence. They then physically attacked him and issued threats of severe repercussions. He identified Sandeep Bhattacharya as one participant.
The event occurred near his salon in the Katara Hills area. Dubey has faced ongoing intimidation since becoming a witness.
He submitted a formal complaint to police but alleges no measures have been taken. Officers have promised action and he was summoned again to the station. The case is handled by the local police station.
These claims arise amid the Central Bureau of Investigation’s ongoing examination of the death of the 33-year-old discovered hanging at her in-laws residence in Bhopal on May 12.
Recently investigators recreated the scene with a dummy of similar weight. They brought Singh and his mother both in custody to the location to reenact events from that night. The goal is to establish a precise sequence of occurrences.
The initial report indicated that Singh stated Sharma had taken her own life before transport to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The autopsy determined death by hanging prior to death with additional minor injuries possibly from a blunt instrument.
Following statements from her relatives and review of medical findings an FIR was filed on May 15. Relatives have claimed harassment over dowry after the marriage in December 2025 leading to her suicide. They mentioned a phone call where shouting was heard before disconnection.
