New York Giants linebacker Abdul Carter said he and quarterback Jaxson Dart have settled any issues after Dart appeared at a rally with Donald Trump. Carter had earlier posted on social media questioning the appearance, writing that he thought the event looked like artificial intelligence. The two players were both drafted by the Giants in the first round in 2025 and played together last season. Later that day Carter posted that the two had spoken and were fine, asking others to stop spreading stories. Dart introduced Trump at the event held Friday at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York, in support of Republican congressman Mike Lawler. In his remarks Dart praised the Giants and introduced the president. Trump described Dart as a future Hall of Famer with strong legs. Other players including Cam Jordan and Jermaine Eluemunor also commented on social media. Carter played in all 17 games last season while Dart started 12 games after taking over from Russell Wilson. The team finished 4-13 and last in its division. This will be the first season under new head coach John Harbaugh.
