Much can change in two months or even two days. In early May, Alexander Zverev lost to world number one Jannik Sinner for the ninth time in a row, falling 1-6, 2-6 in the Madrid final. Since then, Zverev captured his first Grand Slam at Roland-Garros and performed strongly at Wimbledon after earlier limited success there. Sinner struggled with fitness during the French Open and started Wimbledon below his usual standard. Yet after his quarterfinal, his form improved sharply, leading to a straight-sets win over Novak Djokovic. The final on Sunday will pit two players in strong form. Both are tall and strong, sharing a preference for powerful serves and shots. Sinner noted the fast, warm grass favors big servers and fewer rallies. He moves better than Zverev and handles low balls more effectively while finishing points at the net. Although they have never met on grass, Sinner has won their last six matches in straight sets on other surfaces. Zverev has grown more complete and aggressive after his major title, improving his strokes and reducing past passivity in key finals. He believes the experience will help him repeat success.
