Apple is said to be experimenting with new home screen customization tools, including undo and redo functions, for the forthcoming iOS 27 release. These features aim to enhance daily user experience by making it easier to adjust layouts. Sources indicate that the options would appear in the menu accessed by long-pressing the home screen, alongside existing choices like adding widgets, customizing views, editing wallpapers, and managing pages. This would enable users to effortlessly reverse or restore modifications to icons and widgets without manual rearrangements. In addition, iOS 27 is anticipated to include a standalone Siri application and improvements to Apple Intelligence capabilities. The update is likened to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, emphasizing performance improvements and stability rather than significant aesthetic shifts. It is expected to prioritize resolving issues and boosting system dependability. Beta testing for iOS 27 is projected to start in June, with a general rollout planned for September, following Apple’s standard yearly schedule.
