General Dhiraj Seth took over as the 31st Chief of Army Staff on Wednesday. He stressed the importance of advancing Army modernization with fresh energy and determination to address changing security conditions. His objective is to develop a technology-enabled, future-ready force able to function across multiple domains. He described the Indian Army as a combat-ready and experienced force prepared to handle any operational challenge. General Seth outlined his priorities through the acronym ‘VIJAY’, with ‘V’ referring to vigilance along borders and against emerging threats.
