On April 9, 2026, Vijay Wadettiwar, the Congress Legislature Party leader, sent a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In it, he requested the prompt execution of a Supreme Court ruling related to the 2022 Teacher Aptitude and Intelligence Test recruitment. Wadettiwar pointed out that errors by the state’s education department have reportedly barred around 8,000 candidates from OBC and other groups from participating, even though they qualified based on merit.
